Forage and Feast, a Wild Food Experience in St Ives.

11:00 till 15:00

Ready to explore the edible wonders of the Cornish coast? Join us for a unique one day foraging and cookery experience that brings together the best of nature, food, and hands on learning, right here in beautiful St Ives.

This special collaboration between St Ives Cookery School and local foraging expert Josh Quick of Wild St Ives is designed to reconnect you with the landscape and inspire you with the flavours that grow all around us. Whether you're a curious home cook or a seasoned foodie, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to safely identify and cook with wild ingredients.

The day begins with an hour long guided foraging walk led by Josh, where you'll discover a wide variety of edible plants, herbs, and coastal treasures. Learn how to safely identify what you can and, more importantly, what you cannot eat from the wild, plus how to harvest sustainably and respectfully.

After your foraging walk, you'll return to the cookery school kitchen to cook a seasonal lunch with Jeffrey, using the ingredients you’ve just gathered. Expect bold flavours, creative techniques, and a fresh perspective on cooking with the wild.

This is more than just a course, it’s a journey into the heart of nature and flavour.

About Josh

Josh Quick is a passionate forager and educator, born and raised in St Ives. In 2016, he founded Wild St Ives, a social enterprise focused on helping people safely and sustainably explore the world of wild food. Josh has worked with everyone from chefs and brewers to grandmothers and distillers, and believes that foraging offers something for everyone.

He has featured in the film Hungry for Change, exploring sustainable food practices in Cornwall, and appeared on Rick Stein’s Cornwall with a distillery he helped launch using wild and homegrown botanicals.

What to Bring

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes for the foraging walk. Keep an eye on the Cornish weather, it can be changeable, even in summer.

Spaces are limited, so book now to reserve your spot on this unique wild food adventure in St Ives.
